Therapeutic Groups
While individual therapy offers the opportunity to explore your inner world within a one-to-one therapeutic relationship, groups offer something uniquely different. They remind us that healing doesn't only happen in solitude, it can unfold through community. Witnessing the courage, vulnerability and wisdom of others often helps us recognise our own, reminding us that we are not alone in what we carry.
Therapeutic groups provide a safe, compassionate and thoughtfully facilitated space where people can come together to reflect, create, learn and grow alongside one another. Within a supportive group environment, there is an opportunity to build connection, deepen self-awareness and discover new perspectives, while honouring each person's unique story and journey.
Over the past eight years, I have had the privilege of facilitating therapeutic groups across women's centres, alcohol and other drug rehabilitation services, domestic and family violence services, community organisations and youth programs throughout Sydney and the Blue Mountains. These experiences have continually reinforced my belief in the profound healing potential of safe, inclusive and well-held group spaces.
Drawing on my background in counselling and transpersonal art therapy, I thoughtfully design and facilitate groups that foster depth, creativity, meaningful conversation and genuine connection. Depending on the focus of the group, sessions may include reflective discussion, creative processes, meditation, experiential activities and opportunities for shared learning. No previous artistic experience is ever required, just a willingness to explore!
