Individual Counselling & Art Therapy
Individual therapy offers a dedicated space to slow down, reflect and gently explore whatever is present in your life. Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, the impact of trauma, or simply sensing that something in your life is asking for your attention, you don't have to face it alone.
At the heart of my work is the belief that healing begins in connection. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important foundations for meaningful change. Together, we create a safe, compassionate and trusting space where you can feel genuinely seen, heard and accepted, allowing you to explore your experiences with curiosity rather than judgement and at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach is integrative, drawing from person-centred, trauma-informed and attachment-based counselling alongside transpersonal art therapy. Rather than following a single method, I thoughtfully adapt each session to honour your unique needs, strengths and goals. Depending on what feels most supportive, our work may include conversation, creative exploration, mindfulness, gentle experiential or somatic practices.
What brings people to therapy?
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes there is a specific challenge or life event, while at other times there is simply a feeling that something isn't quite right. Whatever brings you here, your experiences are welcome.
You might be seeking support with:
Anxiety, stress or feeling overwhelmed
Grief and loss
Life transitions and change
Relationship challenges
Trauma and difficult life experiences
Self-esteem and identity
Burnout or emotional exhaustion
Personal growth and self-discovery
Meaning, purpose and spirituality
What to expect
Sessions are collaborative, confidential and guided by your unique needs and goals. My role is not to tell you who to become or to have all the answers, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion and respect as we make sense of your experiences together.
Creative approaches are always offered as an invitation rather than an expectation. Many people choose to work entirely through conversation, while others find that art-making, imagery or other experiential practices offer another way of exploring experiences that can be difficult to express through words alone.
Whether we spend our time talking, creating, reflecting or simply sitting with what is present, our work is always guided by what feels most supportive for you.
Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step, and it's important that you feel comfortable with the person you'll be working with. If you're wondering whether this approach feels like the right fit, I offer a complimentary 20-minute get-to-know-you call. It's an opportunity for us to meet, talk about what brings you here, and explore whether working together feels right for you.
